Tried giving it admin rights, and XP compatibility mode, crashes the same way.Update:I found some help on the developer's site. A third party VST called "Classic Chorus.dll" is causing the crash. I wanted to try multitrack recording with cheap USB sound adapters (K\u00f6nig brand, cost $4. Got two of them.) and it worked and was easy to set up. (Tried Ardour before and that was too complicated. Audacity could only record the mix, or one channel at a time.) So I'm changing the review to thumbs up.. beginner friendly. i installed it on windows 10 but it wont load up. Pros:--> Really easy to use--> Great if you want to get started with music recordingCons:-->You can't do anything beyond basic tasks such as recording or midi editing.-->Lacks flexibility.-->Doesn't have necessary features (like sidechaining).-->Built in effects are not that good.-->There is nothing that differentiates this from other recording software.-->Minimal support and the community is almost non-existent.-->Dated interface.Verdict:Although the software is nice, I don't think it justifies the price. There are other free alternatives that have more features than this. ( like audacity, lmms, cakewalk by bandlab). Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this because you can do way more with the software I mentioned above (which are free). I wish I could get a refund.... I've had 0 experience with DAWs and this is my first one. Easy to get into, the UI is pretty intuitive and overall I have a lot of fun with this. Throw on some beat, open up one of like 1000 instruments in musical typing and just play using your keyboard. I'm actually learning piano chords and music theory doing that (and googling along). I don't even have "real" instruments to plug-in into this and I still can create music that sounds great. Download some VSTs and enjoy yourselves.Sound editing is easy as well: I tend to record my voice a lot and here I can edit it, slap FXs onto it and just do the work.It's also ON STEAM = easy sync, transfer, licensed, 0 issues with reinstalling etc. For like $15 it's a great deal already.Overall if you ever work with sound or want to try a DAW in general I think you want this tool unless you already use something else.. i have used this product for 51 min now and i can say it is a good product very happy. Great Software. If you are interested in the publishing feature (publishing directly to youtube) you will want to go directly to the acoustica site though and get the version that is 10 dollars more.. This is awesome. I have tried many others and this beats them all in my opinion. So far using this software two songs have been recorded and they sound just awesome. Not only that but it also found my interface instantly and with no issues what so ever. The manual that comes with it is straight forward and easy to navigate. Found it especially useful when needing to record bass and guitar at the same time through a small 4 channel mixing desk. This proved invaluable. The loops and beats that come with this is just amazing. LOOK i can go on ..... just buy it if you are serious about home recording---you wont regret it.. I just can`t get anything done with this program. It only keeps crashing! Creating new track? Crash. Deleting one track? Crash. Try to save a project? Crash. I know that my PC specs are more than needed to run this software. I already tried to Reinstall it, but the problems don`t go away. Do not buy it. Do not waste you money with this crap!. I'm not sure how I feel about this app, especially after all the problems I've had with it. To begin with, all I wanted this app for was to record my music importing instrumentals and singing over it. Recording my voice was not something I was able to do, at all (over a folder issue, which I have no clue how to fix). Support for this app is not so great, and you'll barely get any replies from it which can be quite frustrating.If I'd see a case like mine, I would've thought twice before wasting my money. In my honest personal opinion I think that you should get a free version to see what it's like.
